“Wishful thinking without effort is futile” in our daily lives we often dream, we dream to be successful we dream to be famous we dream to be remembered. But can dreams just materialize? This question invites us to understand and review more deeply the meaning of “action” In the book Just Shut Up and Do It: 7 Steps to Conquer Your Goals we as readers will be explained about Action. We will be presented with the importance of real action to start acting in our process of achieving success. In the first part of the book, we will be explained about the main challenge in achieving success. The challenge is habit, I understand and interpret habit as something that we repeat continuously in our lives. Brian in this book explains that the main challenge in achieving success is bad habits and self-limiting beliefs, emphasizing that we start forming positive habits.

I personally in this section am interested in the point about “fear of being wrong” I see that this fear of being wrong makes a person unable to develop. I often feel afraid to make mistakes, always see this as a positive thing with this I might be more careful in making decisions, but after I read this book I get another point of view. Fear of being wrong makes it difficult for someone to explore themselves further, limits us to explore further our abilities, makes us not free to express ourselves, cannot be who we are.

I realized that by reading this point I got the spirit to start showing myself, sticking to my principles, and seeing the world realistically. Furthermore, in the second part of the book we will be taught to take responsibility for ourselves, to be brave and honest in admitting mistakes and having the intention to change ourselves for the better.

Avoiding the habit of blaming others, which is an immoral and ethical mentality. Followed by the third part, about how we must dare to make decisions to move forward and develop wholeheartedly into the future, fight fear, show a sense of determination with consistency and discipline. Then in the fourth section, this book will explain to us about how we determine what we want to achieve, by setting clear and detailed goals. The fifth section of the book is very interesting, in this section it discusses procrastination.

Procrastination is something that I often do in my life, Ifind it hard to prioritize in my life. However, by reading this book I gained knowledge about techniques to fight the habit of procrastination,

in this section we will be presented with a very simple but effective solution to fight the habit of procrastination.

One example that I understand is the trick “Salami-slice the task” I simply understand this technique to start doing something from the smallest thing. And then in the sixth and seventh chapters of this book, we will be presented about always learn and develop in our life and never ever give up in doing something. What I really like about this book is how the author conveys his ideas with a straightforward writing style and directly to the main point of the discussion. I highly recommend this book for students and businessmen and people who have the habit of procrastinating.
