Taking a story from a novel, it tells about two lovers who miss each other but the situation forbids them to meet.

From the story the author gives an explanation about death, is death a gift? Or just an escape solution.

The next section in the book talks about offerings, the pure and holy offering to our Lord is ourselves.

It's about how we live, in accordance with holy and sincere commands and desires. There needs to be total surrender, pure intention, and sincere determination.

Furthermore, it is explained about the pure and the mortal, we tend to ignore the pure when there is no threat but when the threat arises we immediately change and focus on the pure.

This shows our inability to choose, life is about choices, so choose that life into purity and truth.
